Enter at Your Own Risk

Welcome to this blog. I am known as Aristaria Lisvacor but let's stick with Aris. Most thoughts, whether carefully put into the order of events in which they came or just written haywire everywhere, will be put on this blog. Comments on those thoughts would be greatly appreciated and I do have copyrights. Now, into the mind of the writer you go. ~Aris~

Character Creation and Organization

You need to create a well-rounded character for your story, right? But when you have in previous stories, the character ends up having bits of important information missing that you have to either go back and add or reveal later on in the story. Start with a name, age, physical appearance. Do they walk or dress differently? Be very thorough in every part of the description. Where are they from? Next, do they talk with an accent or do they know different languages? If so, list the
languages they know. Do they have an immediate family (wife/husband, child/ren if they're older, siblings if they're younger)? Do they talk a lot with certain relatives? Name all the family-related people of your character(make a family tree if it starts to get confusing). Now, what are your character's dreams, thoughts, ideas? Where do they want to travel? What do they want to be? This is just like if you met someone new and are asking them questions to see how much you have in common. Does your character already have an occupation? Are they overall happy with it or do they loathe it and want to leave? Is your character ambitious or easy-going? What are your character's hobbies? What type of weather do they prefer? You need to write every little detail about your character and that's just the main character. Then you have the supporting characters, whether they're related to your character or not. If they're not related to your character, you need to also include their family relations, how the two characters met, why they get along, etc. All in all, creating characters is more work than most people realize yet it's easy for some people to do.
